MGS4 Act 1 “Extreme” Speedrun New Game 24:32 Part 1/3. This speedrun is for MGS4 on the Playstation 3. I decided to re-do the Act as the 26:06 previously was rather flawed. The game lends itself nicely to speedrunning but can be weird in places and sometimes the distance or sound noise by which Snake is caught is ridiculous. The game is not the same to run as MGS2 and MGS3 it is a new experience and running through with No saves is extremely difficult unless solid strategy for each part is found. I save as soon as the game starts otherwise I’d have to sit through David’s Interview time and time again… the first couple of screens are improved further with a total ditching of the magazine replaced with the vase kicking. I slam the two guards as it gives time for the militia to come into place and view me doing it, It may not be the quickest but was a safe way to get the militia to neutral status as they start at enemy status which causes Alerts. In the safehouse every militia will stop and search you which takes too long, giving them rations is quicker. All in all the run is better than last time with less room for improvement. This run is for Act 1 only, I don’t intend on doing a full game speedrun though I have already achieved a sub 3 hour time, a time lower than 2:40 is possible from a new game. MosaicJ record on act 1 is like 17 minutes..? well, too much practice is needed to beat that record.. errrrrrr…
Try seeing COSMOSJP’s videos, theres a couple things? u can to to make it a bit shorter but how did u get ur codec green?
@NintendoSegaSonyGuy Equip ration, walk up to milita or? rebel triangle prompt will appear, tap triangle, if you do this about 3 times in a row they will give you something back

Ive always wondered, did? cutscene time also add to the Total Time Played?
