Welcome to another guitar lesson to learn how to play Fast Car by Tracy Chapman with this online instructional youtube video. The whole song is covered in this lesson. If you use the annotations it is possible to skip certain parts which is handy for those who learn fast. I’ve also changed some things in the presentation of the video like split screen to show left and right hand more clearly and bigger chord diagrams during the explanation of chords. Hopefully these things make it easier to view these vids also on your blackberry, iphone, or other smart-devices. Enjoy this all-time guitar classic! Very nice tutorial…clear and concise.
Especially pleased that you didn’t do this with a capo on, otherwise I couldn’t have played along.
For those who want to be all anal about it and say that it should be played with a capo on the second fret, I would like to point out that Ms Chapman only does that so it’s in a key she’s comfortable singing in. Her voice is quite deep on this song and? she probably couldn’t sing along at all without the whole-tone step up that the capo gives.
@YourGuitarWorkshop? you should pleaseeeeeeee
mine doesnt sound the same what should i do you recommend??

yaayyyy thank? you so much!
@nishane1992 the song in the beginning is something that I wrote just for the intro movie of my acoustic tutorials. At the moment I’m trying to make it into? a proper song. If more people are really interested in it I’ll make a tutorial for it, the song itself is really easy…
